Dimethylaminopropylamine (DMAPA) is a clear, essentially colorless liquid with a typical amine odor.
DMAPA is a crucial intermediate in the production of surfactants, particularly cocamidopropyl betaine, which is widely used in personal care products. It's involved in the production of ingredients found in shampoos, soaps, and other cosmetic formulations.
It is also used in water treatment chemicals, corrosion inhibitors, ion exchange resins, polyurethane catalysts, epoxy resin hardeners, agrochemicals, pharmaceuticals and lubricating oil additives.
