Microcrystalline Waxes are mixtures of solid linear and branched hydrocarbons, with 10-60% N-Alkanes. They are more flexible than paraffins, have smaller crystals, and are more efficient at binding oils than paraffins. this is often used in lipsticks and lipbalms to prevent sweating.
